Network and partners

Scientific partners

The unit participates in partnership devices and conducts research under agreements with private companies. The partners are more specifically specified in the pages reserved for each of the projects.

Cerege

Cerege, a research and teaching centre for environmental geosciences, is a joint research unit based in Aix-Marseille whose main themes and objects of study are climate, sustainable environment, Earth and planets, resources and reservoirs of hydrosystems. Through its theoretical, methodological and technological approaches, Cerege is a place of strong interdisciplinarity.

UMR SAS

The joint research unit "Agrosoil and Spatialization Hydrosystems" (UMR SAS) studies the interactions between agriculture and the natural environment through an integrative and spatialized approach to rural territories. Our main topics are hydrological and biogeochemical cycles (nitrogen, carbon, phosphorus) in cultivated landscapes, and multi-criteria assessment of agricultural systems. In this way, our research contributes to the development of sustainable agricultural production systems, the improvement of rural spatial planning and the preservation of water, soil, air and landscape quality. The unit is located in Rennes, Agrocampus Ouest, and Quimper.

ecosys

The EcoSys Joint Research Unit studies the functioning of agro-ecosystems, taking into account biogeochemical processes, material and energy flows, and the functions of organisms isolated or interacting with their environment. Agro-ecosystems respond to external forcing, which induces technical actions on the part of the farmer (nitrogen inputs, pesticides, recycling of organic waste, tillage, choice of varieties/species) to mitigate or circumvent constraints to achieve production objectives.

LBE

The Environmental Biotechnology Laboratory (LBE) in Narbonne carries out research aimed at developing the concept of environmental biorefinery; this consists of treating the by-products of human activities (waste, agricultural residues, effluents) and converting them into resources of industrial interest (bioenergy, biomolecules, organic amendment) while minimising their environmental and health impact.

LIM

The Computer Science and Mathematics Laboratory (LIM) at the University of La Réunion is working on three areas: (i) the epistemology and didactics of informatics and mathematics, (ii) informatics and applications, and (iii) mathematics.

UCAD

The Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) is based in Dakar. The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) brings together research teams and numerous masters in which the unit's researchers are involved in teaching, training and supervising students.

ISRA
The National Crop Production Research Laboratory (LNRPV) of the Senegalese Agricultural Research Institute (Isra), based in Dakar, Senegal, has a cross-cutting vocation that enables it to intervene on issues that may be of interest to all agro-ecological zones in Senegal. It generates knowledge, techniques and technologies that can contribute to removing certain constraints to agricultural development. In addition, it provides support by offering advice to various partners working in the field of rural development in general, and agricultural development in particular.
